1971 Dodge Challenger R/T 340 in beautiful Maroon Metallic with a black bucket seat interior, black R/T side stripes, a black vinyl top, and chrome Cragar SS wheels. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING SHOW-QUALITY GENUINE JS21H CODE CHALLENGER R/T WITH THE BUILD SHEET!! The numbers matching 340 / 275 horse engine is 100% factory original and still fitted with the cast iron intake manifold, Carter ThermoQuad four barrel carburetor, cast iron exhaust manifolds, Mopar electronic ignition, and original aircleaner assembly. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep aggressive exhaust note from the dual through-the-valence exhaust. Pulls HARD through the rev range; runs nicely on pump gas, and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. The 727 Torqueflite transmission shifts perfectly and the factory 3.55 positraction rearend provides strong acceleration while allowing relaxed cruising. Factory power steering and power disc brakes for safe effortless driving. Gorgeous bucket seat interior with the center console and factory SlapStik floor shifter. Factory Rallye gauges for Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Amps, & Fuel; factory 150 mph speedometer, and factory 8000 RPM tachometer (all work correctly). Beautiful factory wood steering wheel with no cracks in the rim. Excellent dash with no flaws and no sunfade on the instruments. Factory AM radio still in place and works perfectly. Remote side mirror. Excellent seats front & rear, excellent inner door panels, excellent headliner. Brand new full carpet kit and brand new sill plates. Perfect  body with no dents, no dings, no waves, and all original body panels. I cannot find any body filler or repair panels and all gaps are factory perfect. Stunning paint in Maroon Metallic done in modern acrylic urethane base / clear and then repeatedly block sanded and buffed to a smooth lustrous finish. This color looks black in dim light, deep maroon in bright sunlight, and renders the black R/T side stripes virtually ghost-like. Very sharp. Excellent chrome bumpers front & rear. Excellent brightwork and all stainless steel trim has been professionally polished. Excellent black vinyl top with no bumps underneath. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Brand new window whiskers, weatherstripping, and trunk molding. Excellent front grille and rear tail panel. Correct hood with the twin scoops, 340 emblems, and R/T decal plus has the factory hood pins. The trunk contains the spare tire, jack assembly, and rubber trunk mat. Brand new chrome Cragar SS wheels fitted with P215-70-14 front and P255-60-15 rear raised-white-letter BFGoodrich T/A Radials. Just professionally detailed, polished, hand waxed, and turnkey ready for cruises and shows.
