Comments: 1970 Honda 750KO in perfect Candy Blue with Gold stripes, chrome fenders, and only 11,882 total miles. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, MINT CONDITION, COMPLETELY RESTORED BIKE!! This is one of the first 750s from Honda with the die cast engine. The first Honda 750s were made from 1969 to 1970 and are the 750KOs. The first batch of KOs were made with sand cast engines and these are the most collectable; selling nowadays for $18-20,000. Most of them are gone simply because the sand castings were prone to breaking and most also developed porosity leaks. The following 1970 KO first series bikes have die cast engines, are next in line for collectibility, and usually sell in the mid teens. This bike is one of these die cast KOs. The KOs are easily distinguished from later models since they have higher redlines (8,500 RPM versus 8,000 for the 1971 K1s and later bikes), ducktail seats, vented side covers, painted headlight nacelles, and nylon housed instruments with plastic lenses. The KOs are purported to be the most powerful and the fastest of the Honda 750s. This bike has been completely restored to brand new Best-Of-Show condition. It is the correct Candy Blue color with Gold stripes and the paint quality is gorgeous; better than the factory ever produced. This is the correct color and the paint has a deep luster and a smooth glassy finish. The chrome front and rear fenders are perfect with no scratches, no dings. The engine has no corrosion and is as shiny as when brand new. No marks on the crankcases, no pitting on the bright parts, and no damaged fins. The chrome wheels are perfect and the correct tires are brand new. Everything works properly, all of the lights, the turn signals, the horn, the electric starter, and the gauges. The chain and sprockets are brand new. The bike has been completely tuned, all fluids have been changed, and a new air filter installed. The frame has been correctly painted with two-stage gloss enamel and a brand new clutch was installed, The carburetors were rebuilt, synchronized, and a brand new throttle cable fitted. The correct four-into-four chrome exhaust system is flawless and has the correct heat shields. The bike starts with a push of the electric start button and settles into a smooth idle with that unmistakable exhaust note these bikes are famous for. Blipping the throttle elicits instantaneous throttle response and a snarling sound from the pipes. There are no mechanical issues, no smoke, no leaks, no noises; and runs nicely on premium pump gas. Pulls hard through the rev range and the 5-speed transmission shifts perfectly. These are very fast bikes that are also user friendly having electric starters, turn signals, reliable mechanics, powerful brakes, and smooth running engines. This is easily one of the nicest 750KOs available anywhere. It is the perfect bike for a collector but also a joy to ride to bike nights and bike shows. GORGEOUS!!
