1966 Triumph TR4-A IRS in beautiful Signal Red with chrome wire wheels and a black leather interior. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS CAR WITH ELECTRIC OVERDRIVE AND ONLY 68,158 ACTUAL MILES!! The original 2.2 liter engine is still fitted with the original twin SU side draft carburetors and is 100% factory stock. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep exhaust note. Runs perfectly on premium pump gas and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls nicely through the rev range and is surprisingly quick with an abundance of torque and instantaneous throttle response. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly as does the electric overdrive. Shifts perfectly through the gears and the overdrive works correctly when you flip the lever; allowing relaxed 70 - 80 mph cruising (Note: do not buy one of these cars without overdrive if you intend to drive any distance on the interstate.) Brand new black leather interior with black piping. All new seat covers, new seat foams (very comfortable), and new full carpet kit. Brand new inner door panels. Original walnut wood dash in excellent condition. All factory Lucas gauges (120 mph speedometer, 6000 RPM tachometer, Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Ammeter, Fuel Level), and all work properly. Factory AM radio (plays) plus a period correct AM/FM/Shortwave radio. Factory Banjo steering wheel in excellent condition. Excellent original dash pad with no cracks and no warping. Perfect all steel body with no dents, no dings, no waves. The underside is in excellent condition and there are no rust issues. Very nice paint in factory Signal Red; no nicks, no chips. Excellent chrome bumpers front and rear. Excellent brightwork and polished trim. Factory side marker lights. Excellent front grille and chrome rear tail light bezels. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly; one very small stone chip in the windshield. Very nice black convertible top plus a black tonneau cover. Excellent factory disc wheels (with the factory chrome hubcaps) fitted with brand new P165-80-15 radials. The trunk contains the spare tire, tonneau, tool kit, factory jack, and is also in excellent condition. Goes straight down the road with no shake, no squeaks, and runs & drives perfectly. Very nice driving car with the softer suspension and improved handling of the IRS (Independant Rear Suspension). EXTREMELY NICE TR4A IRS!!
