1965 Triumph TR4 in beautiful Signal Red with chrome wire wheels and a black leather interior. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS SOUTH CAROLINA CAR WITH ELECTRIC OVERDRIVE AND ONLY 2,366 MILES SINCE COMPLETE RESTORATION!! The original 2.2 liter engine is still fitted with the original twin Stromberg side draft carburetors (professionally rebushed) and has been rebuilt with a Paeco 3/4 race cam, ported and polished factory head, .10 over pistons, line-bored block, and a trued polished crank. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep exhaust note. Runs perfectly on premium pump gas and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls nicely through the rev range and is surprisingly quick with an abundance of torque and instantaneous throttle response. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and is an overdrive TR6 type which has longer gearing than the stock TR4 unit and the electric overdrive is also from a TR6. Shifts perfectly through the gears and the overdrive works correctly when you flip the lever; allowing relaxed 70 - 80 mph cruising (Note: do not buy one of these cars without overdrive if you intend to drive any distance on the interstate.) Brand new black leather interior with white piping. All new seat covers, new seat foams (very comfortable), and new full carpet kit. Brand new inner door panels backed with Lexan rather than cardboard to prevent warping. Factory optional rear bench seat, large enough for children. Show quality burl wood dash in excellent condition. All factory Lucas gauges (120 mph speedometer, 6000 RPM tachometer, Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Ammeter, Fuel Level), and all work properly. Factory AM radio (no reception). Factory Banjo steering wheel in excellent condition. Excellent original dash pad with no cracks and no warping. Perfect all steel body with no dents, no dings, no waves. The underside is in excellent condition and there are no rust issues. Very nice paint in factory Signal Red; no nicks, no chips, and only one very small area of checking that can only be seen under fluorescent lights. Excellent chrome bumpers front and rear. Excellent brightwork and polished trim. Excellent front grille and chrome rear tail light bezels. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Lucas PL-700 TriBar headlights with quartz halogen bulbs have been installed. Very nice black convertible top plus a white tonneau cover. Brand new chrome wire wheels (knock-offs) fitted with brand new Dunlop 165-15 radials. The trunk contains the spare tire, tonneau and convertible top, knock-off mallet, and is also in excellent condition. Full history of the restoration process and receipts are included with the car. All lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, heater, etc work correctly. Goes straight down the road with no shake, no squeaks, and runs & drives perfectly. EXTREMELY NICE TR4!!
