1964 Pontiac GTO 2-Door Hardtop in correct Sunfire Red Metallic with a black bucket seat interior and factory spinner hubcaps. BEAUTIFUL, MATCHING NUMBERS, CORRECT TRIPOWER 4-SPEED GTO WITH PONTIAC HISTORICAL SOCIETY DOCUMENTA- TION!! The original 389 engine is 100% factory original and has the correct block 78XW stamp, original tripower Rochester carburetors (still with the metal tag fitted), original intake manifold, and original exhaust manifolds connected to a dual FlowMaster exhaust. Fires right up and settles into a lopey idle with a deep aggressive exhaust note from the dual FlowMasters. Pins you back in the seat when you floor it and pulls HARD through the rev range. There are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises; and runs nicely on pump gas. These TriPower cars were factory rated in 1964 at 348 horsepower but feel much stronger. The factory M20 4-speed transmission shifts perfectly and the factory 3.23 positraction rearend provides relaxed cruising. Very nice black bucket seat interior with brand new seat covers front & rear, brand new full carpet kit, brand new inner door panels, and brand new armrests. Excellent factory wood steering wheel (with no cracks) and excellent original dash with no warping and no sunfade on the instruments. Excellent silver star headliner. All of the gauges work correctly, all of the lights, the horn, the wipers, the ventilation system, and the factory AM radio; all work properly. Laser straight body with no dents, no dings, no waves. I cannot find any body filler and all panels have the factory body sequence stamp. Gorgeous paint in correct Sunfire Red Metallic done in modern acrylic urethane base/clear and then repeatedly block sanded and polished to a smooth deep luster. This is an unusual factory color and has a candy apple effect in bright sunlight from the gold base coat under the translucent red. Excellent chrome bumpers front & rear. Excellent front grilles and rear tail panel. Brand new weatherstripping, window whiskers, and trunk molding. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Factory TriBar spinner hubcaps on the steel wheels fitted with P215-75-14 whitewall steel-belted radials. The trunk has been correctly splatter painted and contains the original spare tire, jack assembly, and trunk mat. Just professionally detailed, polished, hand waxed, and turnkey ready for cruises and shows. Pontiac Historical Society fully documents this car and shows it to be from Salta Pontiac in Long Beach, California. EXTREMELY NICE CAR!!
