1963 Austin Healey 3000 BJ7 Mark II in beautiful & correct Bright Red with a black top, black w/red piping bucket seats, and chrome wire wheels. STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL CAR FROM VIRGINIA WITH ONLY 500 MILES SINCE COMPLETE FRAME-OFF RESTORATION AND THE LAST YEAR OF THE EARLY STYLE DASH, WHITE FACED GAUGES, AND LOWER RIDE HEIGHT BJ7 MARK II CARS!! These are considered the most beautiful of the Austin Healey 3000s and this is one of the nicest available anywhere, completely mechanically rebuilt, and frame off restored to brand new condition. The original 6-Cylinder 3000cc twin carb engine is unmodified and completely factory stock. Still fitted with the original twin SU carburetors, original twin aircleaner assemblies, and original exhaust manifolds. Fires right up and settles into a smooth idle with a deep exhaust note from the brand new correct dual exhaust. Runs perfectly on premium pump gas and there are no mechanical issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls hard through the rev range and cruises beautifully at 70-75 mph. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and the long 3.27 rearend with Overdrive provides relaxed cruising. Goes straight down the road with no play in the steering, no rattles, no squeaks, no gear whine; and the electrically operated overdrive functions perfectly when you flip the switch. Beautiful black bucket seat interior with red piping with the matching center armrest. The interior has been completely and professionally reupholstered using correct Moss Motors parts. Brand new seat covers, brand new seat foams, brand new rear seat covers & foams, brand new inner door panels, brand new carpet kit. The dash has been correctly recovered with black naugahyde and a brand new correct padded dash cover installed. A period correct MotoLita mahogany steering is installed with the correct center turn signal controls. This is the last year of the white faced Smiths instruments and they all work properly and are in beautiful condition. There is no sunfade on the gauge faces and no pitting on their chrome bezels. 120 mph speedometer, 6000 RPM tachometer, combination Oil Pressure/Water Temperature, and Fuel Level; all original, excellent, and work properly. Rack & Pinion steering and front disc brakes provide terrific handling and safe stops. Gorgeous body with no dents, no dings, no waves. I cannot find any body filler anywhere and there is no evidence of collision damage anywhere. Factory perfect panel fit and all gaps are correct. Gorgeous paint in the correct Bright Red done to show standards in modern acrylic urethane base/clear and the underside & chassis are also painted Bright Red. No nicks, no chips, and the paint has been block sanded & repeatedly buffed to a smooth glossy finish. All brand new chrome trim. New chrome bumpers, new chrome bumper guards, new chrome door handles, new chrome trunk hinges, new chrome hood air scoop, new chrome headlight bezels. Professionally polished stainless steel windshield surround and stainless steel door trim. All brand new Austin Healey emblems on the trunk lid and above the grille. Brand new convertible top with a crystal rear window (goes up & down quickly and easily), a brand new snap-on parade boot, and a brand new tonneau cover. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Brand new window whiskers, weatherstripping, and trunk seal. Brand new chrome knockoff wire wheels fitted with P165-15 radials. The trunk contains the correct wire wheel spare tire, correct tool kit, and correct jack assembly. Just professionally polished, waxed, buffed, and turnkey ready for weekend cruising and Best-Of-Show trophies. Runs & drives flawlessly and an extremely nice car.
